Description
In LLAMA, you want to get rid of the cards in your hand as quickly as possible, but you might not be able to play what you want, so do you give up and freeze your hand, or do you draw and hope to continue playing? Each player starts a round with six cards in their hand; the deck consists of llama cards and numbered cards from 1 to 6, with eight copies of each. In a turn, the active player can play a card, draw a card, or fold. To play a card, you must play the same number as the top card of the discard pile or one number higher. If there is a 6 in the discard pile, you can play a 6 or a llama, and if there is a llama on top, you can play another llama or a 1. If you fold, place your remaining cards face down and do nothing else in the round. The round ends when a player empties their hand or all players fold. In either case, players collect chips based on the cards in their hands. Each card with a different number in your hand gives you white tokens (each worth 1 point) equal to the card's value, while one or more llamas give you a black token (worth 10 points). (You can exchange ten white tokens for one black token at any time.) If you have played all your cards, you can return one token (white or black) that you previously collected from the stock. Then, shuffle all the cards and start a new round. The game ends the round when at least one player has forty or more points in total. The player with the fewest points wins! The original title of this game is a German acronym and means Lege alle Minuspunkte ab, that is, "leave all the negative points," with "Lama" also being the German word for "llama."
Play all the cards to avoid receiving negative points. Will you play your cards or keep stealing, hoping to draw the right card? Hazard in case the llama and be careful not to hold back more than the account.
